Chewing Tobacco's roots can be traced back to Native American culture in the North and South Americas. It is probably the oldest way of consuming tobacco. While relatively less people chew
smokeless tobacco this is seeing something of a revival.
Chewing tobacco comes in many styles and flavors. Flavor is generally mixed with the tobacco, but flavors like whiskey, rum, cherry and others similar to
pipe tobacco are popular. Twist tobacco is braids of leaves twisted together into a long rope from which a piece can be cut of and chewed. Plug tobacco comes in sheets of syrup cured leaves which are bitten off.
Dipping or pinching of tobacco is one variation of smokeless tobacco consumption. Tobacco tins are sold in three cuts; long, mild and fine. Some smokeless tobacco is placed just below the lower lip, others are placed between your cheeks and gums to enjoy the flavor.
